NAFCO was contracted to detail, fabricate, and install the structural steel and provide the silo tunnel concrete on this limestone handling project. The project consisted of nine different conveyors, five of which are tubular galleries which varied in size from 9’-6” to 10’-6” in diameter. The total length of tubular galleries was more than 1,600 feet and their capacity varies with speed up to 1,400 tons/hour. The project for the Public Service Company of New Hampshire in Bowe, New Hampshire included more that 1,250 tons of steel with a two coat sophisticated paint system applied for corrosion protection.
