A 95’ box truss shuttle conveyor was fabricated in two sections and shipped to Redwood City, California where it was spliced and retrofitted into an existing structure as a ship loader at a scrap metal facility. Additional supports and new platforms were added to the existing structure due to the clients request for a new shuttle that extended 10’ beyond the original shuttle. The conveyor was fitted with unique mechanical components, such as a tail driven drum motor pulley to reduce the overall size of the drive and a telescoping chute to reduce material contamination into the San Francisco Bay.
