In 2015 NAFCO worked with Auburn University to complete the fabrication and erection of the new Jordan-Hare Stadium Scoreboard, which is still the largest in all of college football. In spite of delays in design and by other contractors, NAFCO worked around the clock in both fabrication and erection to meet the project’s very aggressive schedule. There was nearly no lay down area available for this project, so NAFCO carefully coordinated each and every load to accommodate just-in-time deliveries that allowed the project to complete before football season began. For instance, the first two loads to site were 22’ in width, which required specially arranged, double-police-escorted loads. They were transported overnight to allow erection to begin promptly at 7:00 AM the next morning. NAFCO’s expertise from detailing, engineering, fabrication, erection and project management were essential to the success of this marquee project.
