NAFCO is excited to announce that Owen Parrish has been named President of North Alabama Fabricating Company. Owen represents the third generation of the Parrish family to take on this role, following in the footsteps of Ralph Parrish, who is stepping into the role of Chairman of NAFCO, and of company founder John W. Parrish.
Owen brings the technical knowledge, proven leadership, innovative vision, and appreciation of NAFCO’s rich history that will guide NAFCO into its next era as it continues to be a driving force in the steel fabrication industry. Owen is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in civil engineering who has continued to grow his knowledge of the industry by becoming a Professional Engineer and Certified Welding Inspector. Owen demonstrated his leadership capabilities early as President of the Student Government Association during his time at Auburn University and has continued to lead for over a decade in the construction industry, most recently serving as Vice President of Operations at NAFCO and overseeing major growth and advancement in work force, facilities, and technology.
Owen has spearheaded the initiative to keep NAFCO’s shops updated with the most advanced technology available in the industry; he has led multi-million dollar expansion and innovation efforts over the last two years alone and continues to develop plans to expand, improve, and keep NAFCO on the cutting edge of developments in steel fabrication. “I am honored to step into this role and look forward to carrying on the tradition of excellence set forth by my father, my grandfather, and countless employees over NAFCO’s 71-year history,” says Owen. Owen will use his vision for the future to build upon the foundation of integrity, excellence, and commitment to customers and employees that was established in 1953 and that Owen has witnessed first-hand throughout his life.
NAFCO is grateful to have former president Ralph Parrish staying on board in the role of Chairman and continuing to contribute his wisdom and experience to the leadership of the company. “This is not retirement for me yet. But Owen has proven himself ready for this role and this year, on the thirtieth anniversary of my becoming president in 1994, the time was right to pass on that mantle of leadership,” says Ralph. Both Owen and Ralph, along with other members of the NAFCO and Parrish family, look forward to continuing to serve our customers and community for many years to come.
