In 2004, we completed the fabrication and erection of a prismatic truss hangar, utilizing large-sized steel pipe, for the Department of the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia.
The project included more than 1.7 million pounds of structural steel.
In 2009, we were hired to fabricate and erect another hangar with a similar design for the Marine Corps at New River Air Station near Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
This new hangar is approximately twice the size of the Navy hangar and utilizes bolted flange connections. The job completed in early 2010 and included more than 3.6 million pounds of structural steel.
